Trees in parks felled to deter bad hats


A housing developer has cut down 43 oil palm trees and six coconut trees at two parks in Taman Seri Bayu in Nibong Tebal, following requests by residents.

Mulpha International Bhd assistant general manager Chen Tai Kwee said the company spent RM9,000 to engage contractors to fell the shady trees which reportedly posed a security threat as bad hats were loitering in the parks till past midnight.
