MALACCA: Even though festivities were scaled down due to modest sponsorship and prevailing haze, the recent three-day Festa San Pedro (Feast of St. Peter) at the Portuguese Settlement still savoured its moment and highlights.
The Portuguese community village at Ujong Pasir was a hive of activities from June 28 to 30 with a series of food and merchandise fairs, thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration at the community chapel, live band performances, procession of the statue of St. Peter, cultural and dance sessions, drama on stage and the blessing of the decorated fishing boats ceremony.
