Menara Umno building owner JKP Sdn Bhd will submit a safety assessment report to the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) on the cause of the structure collapse by the end of this month.
Council building department director Yew Tung Seang said JKP had appointed an independent group — the Public Works Institute of Malaysia (Ikram) — to investigate the incident.
