SIBU: Central Zone Fire chief Abdul Mutalib Rashid said the two fire stations here — Sibu Central Fire Station (SCFS) and Sungai Merah Fire Station (SMFS) — were adequately equipped and sufficiently staffed.
“SCFS is under category +A and SMFS is +B. Both stations have two fire engines, with 55 firemen at SCFS and 41 at SMFS,” Mutalib said at a press conference here yesterday.
