SIR Stamford Raffles, popularly known as the founder of Singa-pore, had five myths about him debunked by a PhD researcher after six years of research.
Dr Nadia Wright, who made the discoveries during her research for her PhD on William Farquhar — the Resident of Malacca, revealed the ‘truth’ behind the myths on the legendary man whose name was Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles.
