Malaysia Airports Holding Bhd is back with its Indulge Till You Fly (ITUF) campaign for the fourth consecutive year.
The grand-prize winner and a partner will fly business class to Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur and will be taken to the respective cities’ premier malls to shop.
Malaysia Airports commercial services senior general manager Faizah Khairuddin said the top-of-the-range prize was in line with the campaign’s theme “Wonderland”.
“We are all familiar with the various wonders of the world. With the ITUF campaign, we are introducing our travellers to the wonders of the shopping world,” she said during the launch at KL International Airport recently.
“Our airports are a shopping and dining wonderland to many travellers. They can linger and explore and with the ITUF campaign, they can also win wondrous and fabulous prizes,” said Faizah.
The ITUF campaign is part of Malaysia Airports’ effort to raise awareness on the dual roles of its international airports — as transportation hubs and lifestyle destinations.
The campaign is on until Feb 28 next year at all international airports — KLIA/LCCT-KLIA, Langkawi Inter-national Airport, Penang Inter-national Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
Participants must spend a minimum of RM250 at any F&B or retail store at the five international airports.
They will then be eligible to take part in the Indulge & Win Contest and are automatically entitled to instant shopping vouchers worth RM10.
MasterCard holders will be given the privilege of doubling their entries and shopping vouchers.
MasterCard Worldwide country head for Malaysia and Brunei, Safdar Khan, said MasterCard and Malaysian Airports had been partnering for nine years to create an unforgettable shopping experience for air travellers.
“As a leading payment solution provider, the ITUF campaign is also a way to reward travellers handsomely for choosing to shop with MasterCard at participating airports,” he said.
Shoppers can redeem their shopping vouchers on the spot at one of the 40 Indulge & Win e-kiosks located at the five international airports.
All shoppers need to do is scan the receipts of their purchases and personal details, answer a question related to the campaign and redeem their RM10 shopping voucher.
Information captured at the e-kiosks will be uploaded to an off-site server that will randomly select a monthly prizewinner of RM10,000 shopping vouchers.
Seven prizes will be given out throughout the campaign.
The grand-prize winner of RM1mil will also be selected from the pool of participants.
Last year’s campaign garnered a 134% increase in sales and the average amount spent by travellers went up by 50%.
“We are targeting RM150mil in sales during this year’s campaign,” said Faizah.
“The ITUF campaign is gaining recognition here and abroad.
“It is a key component of our drive to increase revenue from our non-aviation segment.
“It will continue to be an important event in our annual calendar,” she said.
