POPULAR actress Lisa Surihani is the “face” of Marigold Peel Fresh after being named its brand ambassador.
Marigold Peel Fresh’s deputy general manager Michael Ong and deputy managing director Michael Thio, in a launch gimmick, turned a giant orange juice container to introduce Lisa as the new face for its line-up of chilled fruit juices at Eastin Hotel, recently.
“Lisa is the perfect choice as brand ambassador, and will play an important role in our efforts to educate consumers on the nutritional differences between fruit juice drinks such as our line-up and ‘long shelf-life’ fruit drinks, which do not require constant refrigeration,” said Ong.
As one of the leading fruit juice drink brands with a 27-year history, Ong said it was important to keep on innovating to stay ahead of other fruit beverage brands.
Those present at the launch also got to preview two new Marigold Peel Fresh television commercials (TVCs) featuring Lisa, including one for Ramadan.
Lisa said she has had a fascination with the juice drink brand since childhood and it was a dream come true to serve as brand ambassador.
“One thing I always looked forward to when shopping with my mother was standing with her in front of the chillers and picking out a Marigold Peel Fresh juice drink to bring home,” said Lisa.
She also joked that she had managed to turn her husband off his habit of consuming carbonated beverages to taking up healthier juice drinks such as Marigold Peel Fresh instead.
Her mother Siti Amira Ahmad said the family’s loyalty to the brand stemmed from shopping expeditions with her children.
These also served as a chance for her to educate them on the importance of reading the labels and ingredients in consumer products carefully.
The new Marigold Peel Fresh brand ambassador got cracking straight-away with an official visit to 1Utama’s Aeon Jusco supermarket recently. Lisa will also be appearing tomorrow at Mydin Mall USJ (11am) and Aeon Big Wangsa Maju (3pm) as part of her introduction as brand ambassador for Marigold Peel Fresh.
Shoppers at these stores stand a chance to win shopping vouchers and Marigold Peel Fresh premiums if they are spotted with the brand’s fruit juice drinks in their baskets or trolleys, and there will also be an autograph session with Lisa.
