Recycling is certainly gaining traction among consumers at large, particularly with increasing awareness of the need to conserve and reuse.

But while recycling paper, plastic, glass and scrap metal is nothing new, the idea of jewellery recycling may raise an eyebrow or two. Jewellery is perhaps not first item on anyone’s list for recycling as most people would hold on to it for its value or to pass it on as heirlooms.
