Relief in sight from flooding Work to clear blockage in drain expected to start soon

FOR months, the 3,000 villagers in the Weld Quay reclamation area in Penang endured flooding, mosquitoes and a bad stench from stagnant drain water in a blocked drain.

Now they have hope that a solution is in sight.
