Bintulu Port records 5.5% drop in LNG volume handled


KUCHING: Bintulu Port, the world’s second largest exporter of liquified natural gas (LNG) after Qatar, recorded a 5.5% drop in the LNG volume it handled last year.

Last year, 23.53 million tonnes of LNG went through the port, down from 24.89 million tonnes in 2011, according to Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) chairman Tan Sri Dr Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah.
