Improving the response to flu outbreak

SOME 50 staff members from the Penang Veterinary Department underwent training to prepare themselves to handle any possibility of bird flu.

In the simulation exercise in Kampung Pongsu Seribu, Tasek Gelugor, Penang, the 50 were garbed in protective gear and had first-hand experience in dissecting chickens. Five dead chickens were prepared for the group to practise on.
