84% of state’s 12.4 million ha of land still lush, says Tengah


KUCHING: The Sarawak government is proud that good forest management has left 84% of the state’s 12.4 million ha of land still covered with forests and trees.

Second Resource Planning and Environment Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan attributed this to Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s efforts and policy on forest management.
