Lack of infrastructure hurdle for homestays


KUCHING: Lack of basic infrastructure and utilities is among some of the reasons for the low number of foreign tourists patronising the homestays in Sarawak.

Tourism Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Dr James Dawos said operators of homestay programme in Sarawak were mostly in the rural where basic infrastructure and utilities such as electricity and water needed to be made available.
