Suicide drama at university

KUCHING: The mundane campus life at a private university here took an unexpected turn yesterday when a man stepped on to the ledge of the seventh floor of a building and threatened to end his life.

The drama, which lasted for almost an hour, could have ended in tragedy if not for the quick action of Fire and Rescue Department personnel who climbed onto the ledge and snatched him from certain death.
