Crime-prone tourist spots get CCTV surveillance

CRIMINALS beware. Two closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras have been installed in the crime-prone tourist spots in the vicinity of Love Lane, Muntri Street and Stewart Lane in George Town.

The cameras, costing RM39,900, are wired to two police stations and each camera has two loudspeakers, meant for the police to issue warnings to offenders.
