State gets more than RM100,000 grant from Japan


KUCHING: The government of Japan has extended a grant of US$33,877 (about RM101,600) to Sarawak to improve medical equipment in women clinics.

Presenting the grant to Sarawak Family Planning Association (SFPA) chairman Dr Philip Kho was the Head of the Consular Office of Japan, Hirofumi Morikawa. The ceremony was witnessed by Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah.
