MAJOR parking operators and players in retail and hotel in the city are against Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) decision to impose a standard ceiling rate for parking charges, claiming the move is impractical and interferes with free enterprise.
Representing 15 major stakeholders, including hotels and shopping complexes, the Building Management Association of Malaysia (BMAM) president Datuk Teo Chiang Kok said the decision to standardise parking rates in the city had taken everyone by surprise.
