Health Dept monitors food safety at markets


MARKET-GOERS are advised to be smart consumers when purchasing foodstuff and patronising food stalls, State Health Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said.

“Consumers should only buy from clean stalls and utilise the ‘look, smell and taste method’ to ensure that the foodstuff is fresh,” he said when launching Ops Sher (snake) at the Kampar wet market last Saturday.
