JOHOR BARU: The Johor State Government hopes to play a bigger role in environmental conservation including tightening regulations when open up industrial areas in the state especially in Iskandar Malaysia.
State International Trade, Industry, Energy, Water, Communications and Environment Committee chairman Tan Kok Hong said that the move was important as the government was committed towards trying to achieve a carbon-free society especially in the growth corridor.
