Call for transparency in anti-plastic bag collection

GEORGE TOWN: An aspiring candidate for the coming general election has demanded that Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng come clean on the state government’s ‘No Plastic Bag’ campaign.

Contractor Mohd Yacoob Mohd Noor (pic), 24, who is planning to stand as an independent candidate in the Jelutong parliament and Sungai Pinang seats, gave Lim three days to reveal how much had been collected from consumers through the campaign.
