AS THAIPUSAM celebration comes to an end at Batu Caves, all that is left as a reminder of the festival are piles of rubbish strewn around the temple compound.
Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) president Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain estimates that the festival this year generated between 430 and 450 tonnes of rubbish.
