JOHOR BARU: The younger generation, especially aspiring designers, should be given more opportunities to go overseas in order for them to gain knowledge and the competitive edge needed to compete internationally.
Sultan of Johor’s royal consort, Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, said it was true that Malaysian designers were not ready to compete on the international stage although they have what it takes to do so.
