FAR East Jewellers (Far East) held a prize presentation ceremony for its lucky customers who have won exclusive jewellery and holiday trips in the Fantabulous Giveaways contest organised by the retail jeweller.

Four customers were randomly picked for the main prizes, which included a piece of 50g PAMP Suisse 999.9 gold bar from Switzerland as the first prize.

The second prize is a pair of 18K white gold bands followed by a voucher for a two-day, one-night stay for two people at Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa for the third-prize winner.

Six monthly winners take home a pair of pearl earrings in 14K yellow gold.

Hanifah Mohd Ariff, a loyal customer of more than 20 years, was extremely excited when she was told about winning the first prize. “It is my first time winning a prize,” exclaimed the 51-year-old.

Hanifah most recently bought jewellery from Far East for her daughter’s wedding.

The second-prize winner, Lee Sze Jia was in disbelief when she heard that she had won the prize. “I thought it was a prank as the people from Far East always joke around with my family,” chuckled Lee.

From the time her father purchased a branded watch from Far East a few years ago, Lee has been visiting the jeweller ever since.

The bubbly young woman won herself a pair of 18K white gold bands, one is a plain white gold design and the other is partly encrusted with diamonds. To show her appreciation, Lee will be giving the band with diamonds to her mother.

Third-prize winners, Cheong Wi-Liam and Nang Ismanorlida Nik Ishak were also surprised to know that they had won. The prize came at the right time for Cheong to have a romantic getaway with his bride.

Nang, a 33 year-old boutique owner, said it was the first time in her life winning a prize from a contest.

The December-month winner, Jumaati Indro, was excited and pleased with the prize as it was her first time winning a prize too.

All other monthly winners have collected their prizes after the respective month.
