Maldives out to attract more Malaysians to its haven of islands


THE island nation of Maldives is planning to lure more Malaysians to visit its scenic archipelago, which is located in the Indian Ocean next year.

In view of Malaysia’s growing affluence and that its citizens are generally an outgoing lot, special officer attached to the Maldives’ presidential office Mohamed Raaidh said plans were in the pipeline to work with various tourism interest groups here to dually promote both nations.
