New home to hold fest


AFTER more than a century, the deities of the Tow Moo Keong wooden temple in Noordin Street, Penang, will celebrate this year’s Nine Emperor Gods Festival in a new RM2.5mil brick and mortar ‘home’.

Noordin Street Tow Moo Keong Committee president Datuk Koay Kean Huat said the old temple, which has been around for more than 100 years at the same location, was leaking and infested with termites.
