ROUTINE maintenance is necessary to identify slope problems early, to help prevent major landslides that have plagued the country since the Highland Towers incident in 1993.
Eriko Motoyama, programme director of SlopeWatch, an NGO based in Bukit Antarabangsa that promotes slope safety, said a systematic reporting schedule had been set up with the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), who will aid them in mitigating the problem according to its severity.
