Assessment rate for traders’ lots shoots up for next year

Huge hike: Cheong talking to some of the affected lot owners.

LOT owners in Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh and Kampung Baru Subang held a protest yesterday at the Sungai Buloh wet market to voice their displeasure over the high assessment rate for next year.

Some 100 lot owners gathered at the field opposite the wet market with placards and banners, hoping to get the state government’s attention. Also present were Subang MCA division chairman Lee Wei Kiat and Subang MCA division secretary Raymond Low.
