House buyers seek state’s help on unforeseen fees

PURCHASERS Selvaraj S. Balaguru and his wife Lothermary Singarayar were filled with joy when told that their house in Ijok, Kuala Selangor was completed, but their dreams were soon dashed as the couple were forced to cough up RM5,000 for “miscellaneous fees”.

“Lothermary and I were happy when we found out that the housing project in Taman Alam Perdana in Ijok, which was abandoned eight years ago, was completed following the rehabilitation of the project by the state government through Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI).
