City’s Salvation Army Children’s Home gets RM3,000

KUCHING: The Salvation Army Kuching Children’s Home received a RM3,000 contribution from The Star yesterday, after the newspaper’s Sarawak branch won third place in its “Do Good. Volunteer” programme as voted by readers.

Under the social initiative held in collaboration with Leaderonomics to promote volunteerism amongst Malaysians and nurture a giving society, staff members of The Star from all over the country reached out to help spruce up and redecorate homes as well as orphanages during the “Do Good Day” event in October.
