Residents wary of development plans

Green lung: The pathway up Melawati Hill is a gateway to amazing greenery.

RESIDENTS of Taman Melawati are concerned about the proposed development on Taman Melawati Hill in phase 3 Taman Melawati, Ampang. The residents had earlier objected to a proposed bungalow development on the hill in 2007 and even had a campaign called ‘Save Taman Melawati Hill’.

The residents were recently called to attend a hearing on Nov 8 by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) with the developer on the new proposed development on the hill. The developer of the project talked about their plans on the 17.09 ha land.
