Featured acts: Independent show series The Hidden Sessions Vol. 5 gets behind newcomer act Vials. This five-piece Klang Valley-based outfit finishes off its ambitious two-night stand at The Actors Studio @ Lot 10 tonight. The band, with a penchant for atmospheric rock and electronic undercurrents, will celebrate the arrival of Congratulations, Did It Hurt? with a full on electric romp tonight. Tonight’s showcase will also unleash a dynamite line-up with psychedelic rock out Pitahati and alternative rockers Damn Dirty Apes as support acts. Featured acts: The Blues Celebration series, which is No Black Tie’s tribute to the genre, sees music legend Ito Mohd back on stage at this intimate venue. This Blues Gang frontman will roll out an inspired dikir blues set with material lifted from his solo career as well as blues/rock classics from his band’s beloved catalogue. If anything, Ito Mohd is the man to balance the traditional slant with contemporary edge. Sharing the stage will be blues outfit, The Roots.
