Deepavali cheer for Kampung Wellington

The wet conditions did not deter the spirit of 40 Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) students who toiled since early morning to bring some Deepavali cheer to the residents of Kampung Wellington, Ayer Tawar.

As part of Petronas’ Sentuhan Kasih Deepavali event recently, the students along with the villagers cleaned up the village’s common areas in a gotong -royong effort and refurbished its community hall, adding a new store room, public address system and other amenities.
