Suspected tontos give Customs officers a hard time

JOHOR BARU: A Customs officer had to fire four warning shots to save himself and his colleagues after a group of men, believed to be tontos, were chasing them near the Kempas Highway here.

The incident, occurred at along KM2.6 near the Bandar Dato Onn exit, at around 10.30pm last Tuesday night, when three Customs officers were in the midst of tail gating a suspicious 40-tonne lorry believed to ferrying illegal items.
