AirAsia X sponsors laptops for Nepali pupils

BARELY five months after its first flight to Kathmandu, Nepal, the Kuala Lumpur based long-haul budget airline, Air Asia X, launched its One Laptop Per Child Programme, a community outreach project in partnership with Nepal based non-profit organisation, OLE Nepal.

The 12-month collaboration is the first community outreach programme for the budget airline and will see AirAsia X sponsor 30 specially designed XO laptops, made by One Laptop Per Child, for pupils at Chandi Devi Primary School and train teachers on how to integrate the laptopsinto the chools curriculum.
