Glorious success comes to Malacca teams

Bowl winners: The Malacca Sikhs hockey side that retained the Bowl title at the 5th Vietnam ‘sixes’ festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

MALACCA: The Malacca Bar, the Malacca Hockey Association’s Razak Cup team, the Malacca Squash Rackets Association Boys Under 12 side and the Malacca Sikhs Cultural and Sports Club, all raised themselves up in sporting glory when participating in local, outstation and overseas competitions.

The state Under 12 squash outfit set winning matters rolling when capturing the Nicol David-Ong Beng Hee Challenge Trophy when beating Selangor 2-1 in the boys team final. The winning side comprised Wang Peng Soon, Adam Azan Aziz, Siow Yee Xian and Ong Jin Zher.
