SOME 1,020 poor and needy folk in the Manjung district had a brighter and happier Deepavali, thanks to the RM100 money packet and hampers they received from Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
The gifts were handed over to them at the Ladang Sungai Wangi Community Hall, Sitiawan, last Sunday, two days prior to the festival.
