New system a boon for travel industry

Confident: des Fontaines says the mid-office system gives travel agents more time to provide customers a personal touch.

AMADEUS Asia Pacific, a leading transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, has developed a system that would help travel consultants involved in front, mid and back office operations.

According to vice president (customer solutions) Bruno des Fontaines, mid-office systems are the operations that traditionally handle record-keeping and manage the flow between the front office functions (issuing a ticket, customer service and so on) and the back office’s execution (invoicing and payments).
