Bukit Bintang area filled with contrasts and diversity

Chinatown: The iconic Petaling Street, which falls under the Bukit Bintang constituency, is just one of the many areas in the parliamentary constituency which has seen many changes in the past two decades.

BUKIT Bintang parliamentary constituency located in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur is often associated with the Jalan Bukit Bintang area and its immediate surroundings which include Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Imbi and Jalan Raja Chulan. In truth, the seat covers a far bigger area.

It is not too far-fetched to say that Bukit Bintang parliamentary constituency (P 120) is the “heart” of Kuala Lumpur. The parliamentary seat shares its border with almost all the other Kuala Lumpur parliamentary constituencies except Kepong, Bandar Tun Razak, Setiawangsa and Wangsa Maju.
