Residents playing active role in slope maintenance

Fixed: In March, there was a rockslide (inset) at Mutiara Court in Taman Bukit Permai.

INCREASED awareness on slope maintenance in Ampang, a town plagued by a long history of landslide incidence, has led to the formation of several new resident-based slope-monitoring committees.

Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) Hillslope Development and Maintenance Division head Zafrul Fazry Mohd Fauzi said two of the committees were from Pangsapuri Cemara in Cheras and the other is Mutiara Court in Taman Bukit Permai.
