Manyin: Sarawak not happy with no money from Federal to upgrade trunk road

KUCHING: The Sarawak government is “very unhappy” that Federal decision makers are not allocating funds for the upgrading of the state’s portion of the Pan Borneo Highway.

Infrastructure Development and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin said it might still be “some years” before the Federal Government agreed to fund the upgrading of the highway, which is better known to locals as the first trunk road.
