Security to be tightened during Murum dam meeting


KUCHING: The state police will send personnel to assist their counterparts in Belaga to ensure public safety and order during this Wednesday’s meeting, which involves villagers affected by the Murum hydroelectric dam and project proponents.

State Commissioner of Police DCP Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said they were still closely monitoring a blockade at Seping Bridge in Murum set up by protesters against the dam project.
