Breaking out the blues with more music

BEFORE you know it, the end of October approaches and that can only mean one thing — Halloween!

It is time to plan your costumes and get ready for some trick or treating action on the pub front, with a host of parties appearing on the radar.

At the Laundry Bar in the Curve, hipster heroes Mad Sally swing into the rhythm next Friday with a lively, and colourful, set that will kick off at 10pm. A cover charge applies so check out the listings for more information.

In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Dirty Nelly’s in the Life Centre will also be throwing out all the stops for its Halloween bash next Saturday, with Tony Warren crooning hits from Tom Jones and more to keep the party going on.

For something a little more jazzy, Alexis’ International Jazz Series continues tonight with the Tim Garland Lighthouse Trio making their second appearance in Malaysia.

Wednesday nights are also special this month and next, with Backyard’s JAMFest continuing to thrill with a selection of veteran acts and young talents entertaining the crowd.
