MPPP to keep track of activities with GPS in garbage trucks

WASTE disposal may become more efficient when the GPS tracking system is installed in all 62 garbage collection trucks operating in Penang island.

The trucks operated by seven solid waste management contractors will be fitted with the device by the middle of this month, Penang Mun­i­cipal Council (MPPP) Public Health committee alternate chairman Ong Ah Teong said.
