Taiwan sweep nine out of 10 gold medals at stake in woodball event

MALACCA: Taiwan ruled the roost picking up nine out of the possible 10 gold medals at stake with South Korea preventing a complete Taiwanese sweep at the 5th World Cup Woodball Championship at the AFamosa Golf Resort greens in Alor Gajah.

Also running simultaneously was the 16th Malaysia Open Woodball Championship where apart from medals a sum of RM18,000 in prize money was up for grabs in the six disciplines contested. Pahang dominated proceedings collecting three gold medals and a similar number of silver and bronze medals while pocketing RM8,100.
