Police continues to monitor new drugs and the pushers

A TOTAL of 1,006 drug pushers have been nabbed by the police in Perak this year where all, except for 71, were charged under the Dangerous Drug Act.

Due to lack of evidence, the 71 were detained under the Special Preventive Measures Act, said state narcotics department chief Asst Comm Roslan Abd Wahid at a community policing gathering held at the Taiping Sentral recently.
