Houses promised to former Bukit Rajah Estate workers not taking shape

Forlorn sight: A piling crane left idle next to the project site.

THERE seems to be no end to housing woes for former Bukit Rajah Estate workers in Klang as they anxiously await completion of permanent houses promised to them by their former employer.

A total of 86 families who stayed put in their estate quarters after they were retrenched in 2006 were offered a RM80,000 single-storey terrace house each by Sime Darby Plantation in April 2009.
