10,000 Muslims in Sibu celebrate Raya with Najib and Taib

SIBU: More than 10,000 Muslims gathered at the compound of Masjid An-Nur here to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib.

Organised by the Muslims here, the joyful gathering was described by Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee, who was also the organising chairman, as a very significant event because it was the first of its kind celebrated with the Prime Minister on Malaysia Day.
