Lively performance: Local artists perform for guests at the Hari Raya celebration in Selama.
A carnival mood descended upon the small town of Selama as more than 10,000 people gathered to celebrate Hari Raya. Jointly hosted by Larut MP Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin and the Selama Municipal Council, the event was graced by Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah. It was a heartwarming scene as people from all walks of life flocked to greet Raja Dr Nazrin on his arrival, with many using their hand phones and cameras to take pictures of the prince.
The crowd also rushed to get up close with Raja Dr Nazrin as he walked around to mingle with the people towards the end of the event. Among them was senior citizen Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman, 62, who gave the prince a big hug.
