Monastery blueprint gets revered Thai monk’s stamp of approval


LANGKAWI’S Wat Wanaram committee members travelled to the Nakhon Ratchasima Province in Thailand to seek blessings from the revered abbot of Wat Ban Rai, Luang Phor Koon, for the construction of a monastery on the island.

Langkawi MCA division chairman Datuk Chen Liau Weng, who is Wat Wanaram’s secretary, led a delegation of 13 men on the three-day-two-night trip.
