GEORGE TOWN: Unable to bear seeing another mural in the George Town heritage enclave vandalised, a full-time restoration artist from the Philippines took it upon himself to restore the painting the best he could.
Melvin Arlegui, a lecturer at the Equator Academy of Arts, together with two of his students, Tan Jia Shin, 19, and Seng Weng Khai, 21, managed to remove about 80% of the charcoal marks that were splattered on the mural.
